Mrs. Shelton’s career includes diverse experience in manufacturing, new product design and development, project management, and engineering management for commercial product companies. Prior to joining the INTUITIVE team, Mrs. Shelton served as the Project Manager for New Product Development for Cooper Lighting. During this time, she was responsible for overall program technical success including design, vendor selection, tooling procurement, initial production, and product introduction of a high end recessed lighting product line.
Joining INTUITIVE in 2005, Mrs. Shelton has served as the Deputy Program Manager for support to the Manufacturing Science and Technology Division, Engineering Directorate of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), and most recently as the Director of Design and Engineering Support. She advises and develops INTUITIVE’s mechanical and electrical design and engineering, providing support to multiple customers. She manages program profit and customer relationships, requirements assessment, resource allocation, administration, design, analysis, and documentation to meet or exceed customer expectation and ensuring all contract deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Mrs. Shelton’s leadership, guidance, motivation, and mentorship to INTUITIVE‘s team of engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts has propelled INTUITIVE forward as a government and commercial technical solutions provider. Mrs. Shelton holds Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She completed her Master of Science Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama.
