Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) ranked #2 on The 8th Annual Great Place to Work® Rankings: 2011 Best Small & Medium Workplaces Presented by Entrepreneur®. The list represents the best Workplaces separated into two categories: small companies with 50-250 employees and medium companies with 251-999 employees. This annual list recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures.
INTUITIVE was selected among hundreds of companies vying for a place on the list this year. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
Creators of the list, Great Place to Work® has found that employees believe they work for great organizations when they consistently trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.

INTUITIVE believes the workplace directly influences the mental and physical condition of the employees, which lead the company to designate a health coordinator to hosts several events throughout the year for employee participation. These include activities such as Summer Walkabouts and quarterly Creating Awareness Rewards Everyone or C.A.R.E. Days. Summer Walkabouts is a competition where participating employees record their steps walked over a 6-week period. In 2011, INTUITIVE employees collectively walked 9301 miles. C.A.R.E. Days are designed to promote simple health awareness through activities as health and nutritional education, blood screenings and massage appointments. INTUITIVE is the only company in Huntsville, AL to receive the American Heart Association platinum level recognition as a Fit-Friendly Companies. These companies are recognized by the American Heart Association as employers who go above and beyond when it comes to their employees’ health and safety.
On April 27, 2011, the Huntsville area was struck by the wave of tornadoes that passed across the State of Alabama. The first thing INTUITIVE management did was to locate each employee to make sure they were not injured. No employee was injured or lost a family member, but three employees lost their homes and others suffered property damage. This was a time when people needed to be paid on time. The offices were closed, yet INTUITIVE was able to process payroll to ensure all employees were paid on time. Employees were not able to return to work for a week and many spent the time away from the office volunteering and cleaning up debris.
