INTUITIVE Wins Production/Producibility and Systems Engineering (PED)

HUNTSVILLE, AL – June 2016 – Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE) was recently re-awarded the Production/Producibility and Systems Engineering (PED) task order under the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Express technical domain. This $60 million task order has a performance period of 5 years. INTUITIVE will support each facet of this task order through Material Solutions Analysis, Technology Development and Risk Reduction, Engineering and Manufacturing, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support.

Since its start in 1999, INTUITIVE has been committed to providing uninterrupted support to the Production Engineering Division (PED) and the Systems Engineering Management Division (SEO) of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC). INTUITIVE’s President, Harold Brewer, stated, “AMRDEC has trusted INTUITIVE to provide rapid response, high quality services to the PED/SEO for the last 17 years. We are proud to be able to support the PED in this capacity for another 5 years. We are committed to always putting our best efforts and brightest personnel forward.” Brewer added, “We have spent the last year and half bettering our company through employee trainings and organization quality audits, such as AS9100, which we received in March. Our mission to continuously improve not only benefits our company and our employees, but most importantly, it benefits our customers. We believe that customer satisfaction is key and that success is based on highly reliable delivery of quality products and services.”

Through merit and accolades, INTUITIVE has become a recognized leader in the production and engineering field. INTUITIVE’s expertise in areas such as producibility, quality management, surveillance, and critical safety audits results in high performance ratings in these areas, as well as other areas across the performance matrix. In addition to being a leader in Production Engineering, INTUITIVE houses highly sought after System Engineering (SE) capabilities. INTUITIVE is known for their cadre of professionally trained Systems Engineers, including International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE)-Certified SE Professionals (CSEPs). These SE experts are experienced with applying OSD, Army and Industry guidance in analysis and evaluation of new and existing weapon systems in all life cycle phases to improve processes and performance. The majority of INTUITIVE personnel have backgrounds or training in one or more engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Propulsion, Materials, Industrial, Aerospace, Avionics, Software, and Computer Science Engineering. With such a vast knowledge base, INTUITIVE can offer the AMRDEC Engineering Directorate innovative and creative personnel, a robust set of the latest analysis and evaluation tools, established and proven processes, and distinctive industry insight.

INTUITIVE’s wealth of knowledge and expertise of production and systems engineering reaps great benefits to customers, which is why the government consistently calls on INTUITIVE to meet their production and systems engineering needs. In fact, INTUITIVE’s production planning expertise led to a 13% decrease in manpower and a 7,000 hour reduction in cycle time for the government’s IA 407 program, while improving first pass yield. This is just one of many examples of how the government benefit from INTUITIVE’s expertise. Through on-site production expertise, INTUITIVE can monitor production flow and quickly identify and solve production related problems. Brewer stated, “We understand that in the end the result of our work impacts the Warfighter. We are determined to provide the Warfighter the high quality systems they need in order to do their job.” When it comes to manufacturing, the government relies on INTUITIVE to be its eyes and ears and to solve their complex problems.
